Cades Cove Loop Lope
Cades Cove Loop Lope will be held Sunday, November 12, 2023 at 11 a.m. The park’s philanthropic partner, Friends of the Smokies, will host the annual event. The race gives registered runners a chance to run a 3.1- or 10-mile loop course in Cades Cove.
The event is scheduled for an early November morning to minimize visitor impacts. This once per year event helps raise support for the park. Parking in the cove will be limited until 10:30 a.m. at the Townsend Wye. The national park approved the event via a special use permit.
