Head on over to “Down on the Farm” on Sunday afternoons this summer from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. At the Oconaluftee Visitor Center’s outdoor Mountain Farm Museum you can walk around the farm and see what chores and activities kept mountain folks busy. You’ll get to see demonstrations of cooking over an open hearth, gardening or woodworking. No matter the activity, you’ll walk away with a new appreciation for the conveniences of modern homemaking.
