About Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center
Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center in Townsend is a world-class museum of indoor and outdoor exhibits that preserve the heritage and culture of the peoples of the Great Smoky Mountains including the region’s Native Americans and the pioneers of Southern Appalachia. The Center offers history tours of nearby Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park as well as many great concerts and special events in it’s 100-seat auditorium and 500-seat amphitheater.
