Smoky Mountain attractions open after two months of covid-19 fears. Beginning Friday, May 22, 2020 popular Smoky Mountain attractions will open with new social distancing guidelines.
Tennessee Governor Bill Lee remarked, “Tennesseans have worked incredibly hard to do their part and help slow the spread of COVID-19 so that our state can begin to reopen. Thanks to their continued efforts we’re able to allow restaurants and retail businesses to operate at greater capacity and large attractions to open in a safe and thoughtful way.“
Among those listed to open are Ober Gatlinburg, the Sky Bridge and most area restaurants. The entire nation has been at a stand still and everyone is beginning to feel a bit stir crazy. As states and cities begin to loosen restrictions on “safer at home” policies it is important to remember to act responsibly when interacting with others. Wearing face masks continues to be recommended to help stop the transmission of the virus. Keeping a safe distance (six feet) from others is still important too. Remember to wash your hands as often as possible and avoid touching your face. Stay safe everyone!
