Smoky Mountain Earth Day Trash Pick Up
Smoky Mountain Earth Day Trash Pick Up will be held on Earth Day, April 22, 2021. This year Earth day reminds us to take care of and appreciate our planet — whether it’s cleaning up litter, planting trees, recycling, repurposing, going for a walk in a green space, or simply taking a moment to appreciate the amazing beauty of our natural world.
Social distancing is still in place for us this April so Earth Day has gone virtual. But that doesn’t mean that you can’t go outside and enjoy nature. Just do it responsibly! Nature is never cancelled!
Help Appalachian Bear Rescue celebrate Earth Day for their first BearWild event.
BearWild is a divison of Appalachian Bear Rescue Rehabilitation and Release Center, Inc.. The proceeds of this event will benefit BearWise TN initiatives. To learn more about BearWise visit – https://bearwise.org.
Each registration includes a BearWise TN wooden ornament, a Trash Bag, and registration to a special talk with with retired ranger, Kim Delozier and his special guest Bill Landry, from the Heartland Series.
Pick up trash with your friends, family, and coworkers any time during the week of April 19th – 25th and make sure to send us a picture with your filled up trash bags. Then join us on Zoom on Friday, April 23, 2021 at 7pm (ET) for a special hour with Kim Delozier. Kim will share stories, have a special guest to talk about bear safety and trash.
