Smoky Mountain Veterans Day Free Parking

Smoky Mountain Veterans Day Free Parking! In honor of Veterans Day, visitors to Great Smoky Mountains will not be required to display or buy a parking tag on Saturday, November 11, 2023. This day will be the last free day of free parking for 2023 in the Smokies and throughout the National Park Service.

Those who wish to buy a weekly or annual tag on Saturday may do so online, or in the park. Rangers continue their parking enforcement efforts on fee-free days, including issuing warnings and citations for vehicles parked in marked no-parking areas. Great Smoky Mountains National Park observed three other fee-free days this year: National Park Week in April, the anniversary of the Great American Outdoors Act in August, and National Public Lands Day in September.
